Mad Viking Beard Co

This is first of a two-part review.

Mad Viking Beard Co

Ravn Rom OIL:

Oil fragrance: This oil has a very manly cologne aroma to it that has a long aromatic life to it. The aroma stands apart from any other I have used because it reminds me of my dad and the cologne that he wore that I loved so much growing up.

Oil Consistency: Medium/Heavy
Silky smooth to the touch and does not leave an oily residue on the skin.

Skin absorption:
The oil absorption rate is top notch, I have noticed that this oil seems to hold to the hairs a bit more than most. This I believe allows for that aroma to last much longer getting you through the day. Also allowing the oils to nourish the hairs for longer periods of time where some light weight oils evaporate sooner.

Blodorn:

This is their newest recipe and scent.

Blodorn oil:

Oil fragrance:
This oil has a very pleasant sweet almost earthy aroma to it. Hints of mint and chocolate Mocha, ending with very mild floral scent.

Oil Consistency: Light/Medium
Smooth to the touch does not leave an oily residue on the skin.

Skin absorption:
Very high rate of absorption of this oil absorbs in seconds.

Blodorn Beard Balm:

Fragrance:
This balm also has the same aroma as their Blodorn Oil, a very pleasant sweet almost earthy aroma to it. Hints of mint and chocolate mocha, ending with very mild floral scent. The aroma is a bit milder than the oil.

Balm Consistency: I am very impressed by the texture of this balm, it sets like a wax based balm with a whipped satiny texture to the touch. Have not seen a balm with this consistency, this product is a perfect marriage of ingredients.

The balm is not greasy but has a nice hold to it. I find that if I brush my beard before applying the balm then let it set for a few minutes then brush it to style the hold seems to last. A nickel size of the balm is all it takes to get the coverage I like.

Balm storage: To me the container used to hold the product is very important in the shelf life. Which allows for you to get all of your moneys worth in usage? This balm container has a screw off/on lid, unlike many products that use the tin container that you have to struggle with in many cases to open.

Ingredients: Quoted for MVBC.

"We've spent nearly a year testing and perfecting an expertly selected group of all natural oils, that achieve great results! Goes on smooth absorbs quickly and lasts, even on your longest of journeys!"

Company Review:

Now something, I never hit on in detail, is company review. I feel I need to in this case. I contacted the company asking for samples to review, they replied promptly that they were waiting to receive sample size containers and would keep me in mind once they do get them. I then found that they had a Facebook group and decided to join. The group was warm and welcoming. As a member, i watched the group and began to get an idea of how the company interacted with their customers.

Facebook groups, where products crafters interact with their customers, is not uncommon. But the way, this company did it, stood out to me. Something took place between a customer and one of the owners of Mad Viking Beard Co that astonished me.

One of the customers had put in an order for products just before Christmas, somehow the postal service lost his order. Without questioning one of the owners, drove a few hundred miles to deliver the products to the customer. When the customer asks what he should do with the products he ordered once they did make it to his home. He was told to keep them and not to worry about it.

That is how you show a customer that they do matter and that it does not end with your purchase of the product.

I give this companies dedication to their customers a 5 star rating.

I will follow this review with full use reviews in the days to come.

Go check these boys out they are doing some great things.
